chuck egg question

mlove May 04, 2008 05:04 PM

I was quite suprised when I found three chuck eggs in the enclosure last night. The egg in the top of the photo is a little different color from the other two. This is the first time my female has laid eggs. Do the eggs look okay? I planned on buying vermiculite but perlite is the only thing I was able to find locally. Hopefully it will work.

Congrats on the eggs! They look like they've dried out a bit, I don't have experience with chuck eggs, but with other species they'll usually plump back up if the dents are relatively small. I incubated leopard gecko eggs in perlite using 1 part perlite to 0.8 parts water by weight.
