A friend of mine and I bought an adult pair of double het for snow Brook's last year in Chicago. I bred them this spring and got six eggs, the last one hatched this morning. Here is what I ended up with:

1.0 Albino, poss het axanthic
0.1 Axanthic, poss het albino
1.3 Normals, possible het axanthic and/or albino

How is that for being blessed by the brooksi gods? I can't believe I got this lucky with the morph and sex ratio. When I breed other stuff I get skewed ratios like 8.2 or 10.3 or something like that. I'm very happy with the results, and I think I'm officially hooked on brooksi. After my friend and I split the clutch, I'm keeping the rest. These really are neat snakes.

Weeeee Heeeee !!!!!!!!!... finally got the brooksi fever. Hope this means we can do some ratsnake for floridana swapping.

the 'Het for' Gods DID smile down on you......... almost as good as the double het black rats I got off Chris & Sheila........ look forward to seeing pics.....
