Anyone with pics of these two subspecies

Joeycoco98 May 04, 2008 09:45 PM

Pituophis l. lineaticollis and Pituophis l. gibsoni, I would like for one of these to be my next pit purchase (or a blackpine). I would like to see pics that show the difference if there is any.

Thanks in advance,
Miller

Kinda rare still but getting more common if you know where to look. I spent a good year w/ a good amount of effort tracking people down. I know of a good handful of people producing them this year... Just look around the forum, some people have eggs

sunriverherps.com has a male for $500 if I recall...

What answers you questions?... Check out Greggs reptile barn (sp?). He has his 08's listed for around $350 (I may be wrong!) He has eggs too... Not sure what Ginter is charging but he is expecting too. I'm surprised they are this low! I'd expect them to be around $5-8. Last year they were going anywhere from $400-500. The prices have dropped considerably, and Peace River is probably selling that male and not trying to take a loss. I'd buy it if it was accompanied by a female *hint hint*

Save up now, it's worth it! But don't take my word for it...

Black pines are awesome... Search out Lloyd Heilbrunn. He has probably the nicest black pines! Nate (Tokaysrnice) here on the forum had better but they're gone and he's not breeding her this year.

This female was one of the lighter females he had, but she was the largest so I got her. She is about sold black now and approaching the one year mark... I got her sister as well who was pretty much black as the parents but she got out and unfortunately I was unable to find her
