BABIES ARE HERE!!! DUW!

boachris May 05, 2008 03:25 AM

Hey all,
I haven't posted much lately, but I had to share that I've got my first ever litter of babies. These are from a pastel X normal (histories unknown). There seems to be one really light one, several with no red, and many have partial tail striping.
Total tally: 29 babies, 0 slugs, 0 stills. Great full-term healthy litter (Day 105 POS).
I'll post better pictures after sheds! Thanks boaphile for amazing Reptile Magazine article (Boa Baby Bible), and for all those who answered my stupid questions along the way!

Thanks! I was wondering what the specific description of "anery" was. I know there are a few with no red at all, and several with just a little brown in the tail.
Anyway, way better first litter than I could have hoped for!

Finding them was great, but I'd just gotten home with dinner from my favorite Mexican place. I had to choose between two great things. Taking care of the babies, or carne asada nachos! I chose the boas!

What a great litter to start with. I don't know if I have ever had a litter without at least one slug. There are some nice looking babies in there. Now you get to enjoy watching them grow.
