For CheriS - Adenovirus

Beardie_Br0z Aug 30, 2003 07:13 PM

Both my beardies are from the white plains show as my stepdad sells Leo's there ( AMGecko ) , Should i be worried..Ive had them for a while now ..more then a year. Is there any way to see if they have it or any odvious things that may show it? Im sure my female doesnt have it because we had her checked back in the day for anything and she was fine.. my male is 450grams and around 14months so im guessing he doesnt have anything wrong with him as he is a pig.

Thanks,
Joey

P.S- If you want me to do anything special at the Sept.8 show ..looking for something..etc anythin just let me know.

He has studied this in bearded dragons for several years and is the leading authority on it.

As far as having them checked in the past..... there is no test to detect adenovirus in a live bearded dragon, except for one that is developing and being used by Dr Wentz and that needs to be sent of for Electron Microscope results. A normal fecal will not find it.
