Have any of you noticed an odor with your tegus??? Every so often I get a wiff smells like when you maka a snake mad and they poop on you. The tegu is calm as can be and does not appear stressed or the least bit upset with me. There is no poo or any liquid, etc coming from it's vent. Do tegus get gas?? Equiring minds wanna know.

I've noticed this a few times with my red. There's no solid or liquid, just a cute little fart coming from my tegu. And the unmistakeable aroma. It's when she leisurely explores the house, and isn't stressed or anything.

I hadn't really thought much of it til you mentioned it, Mike. I'm curious of others' experiences with flatulent tegus as well.
