Canadian triangulum...

This is one of the nicest looking adult milks I've found in Ontario so I thought I'd share this one. Its a totally new locality for me (extremely isolated by agriculture and highways) so it defintely was an exciting find!

Gotta love that habitat! Guess what this guy was under?

Sorry forgot to answer your camera question.

Its a Canon EOS 10D. Its my sisters I have just been playing around with it alot lately.

After these photos a friend gave me a quick lesson on aperture and shutter speed ... so in the future the whole target should be in focus!

Nice looking nominate! The background color is sweet on that animal. Congrats on the find!

I'm with Shannon - the tarp looks like a snakey hide-out.

Nice Jon. How's it going? What were the temps up there when you found it? Randy W.

Jon,

Awesome find! That is a beauty. I used to live on the other side of the lake from you and never found one that nice. That is sweet!

Temps were mid 50s when I found this guy. The high for the day was around 65. The tarp was probably around 75. I didn't have my temp gun with me at the time so thats just a wild guess.

These two were both underneath it. Crappy pic as I didn't care much about the garter at the time!

VERY nice find.... very unusual coloration it seems as well. Great shots, and thanks for posting them first off.... I've seen alot more variance from the 'piedmont' running down the eastern seaboard but nothing like that from your neck of the woods. Hmmmmn that's something very cool...

Thanks again,
Chris
