Well worth the wait

This nine-year old virgin finally got the job done. Patience is key sometimes! This is a Sarawak locality borneo female (named Pokey for good reason) originally produced by Chris Carmichael in 1999 (5/20/1999), which I acquired a month later. The parents were a pair originally imported and acquired through the Barkers and Chris successfully established them producing several clutches.

Enjoy!

Glad to hear they are doing well. I expect to see images like this from you in the next couple years! There are far less breeder Sarawaks out there than I thought. If anyone has some, shoot me an email to keep in touch.

Looks like an old soul. Congrats for a long wait on a successful breeding. I know the Sarawak's take longer to get up to size and everything. What would you say is an average age for these guys to reach maturity?

Males at 18 months can do the job, but not in my experience. Females are still holding out until 4yrs for a good clutch.
