Try breeding pastel to pastel, 7 eggs and NO SUPERS. It blows but in the long run your odds will work out.
Next time...
He will now go down in history...

-Ohh, what a Lady-
I had a couple no super clutches...and a no pastel ghost batch too......
yes it suxx.....
......fingers crossed for this year huh...

......
Last year I had two clutches from het albino females bred to albino males laid on the same day, 9 eggs and 6 eggs. The 6 egg clutch was from a proven het. The other female is a het bred by myself. Her mother was a het also produced here that was only bred to albino males. There is no possibility of retained sperm from any other male. I cut all 15 eggs on the same day and got zero albinos. Like I said the 6 egg female has produced albinos before. I'm anxious to see this year what the 9 egg female produces. I don't see any way that she isn't a het, except for some kind of freak of nature.
As far as odds averaging out over time, I'm still waiting. I have hatched a lot of albinos over the years and never got 50% from het females and albino males. I have beat the odds on other things, so maybe it does average out in a way.

LMAO......
Thanks Heather and Rudd......I missed that clutch but produced a clutch of EPIC pastels shortly after.....then I bought a super pastel.

What was the dominant morph?

That sucks -- but look on the bright side - next year you'll likely get twice as many morphs - so as to even up the odds. Happens all the time.

Well, there is still time this year. More clutches to go so hopefully the odds will be with me.
Last year I got a normal female back from a breeding loan to a pastel male. She laid 5 eggs and I was all excited about hatching my first morphs. As they started to slit there where a couple where the color wasn't fully developed and I thought I had it only to find out a day later it was 5 normals. Then to add insult to injury they where all male! That's 1 in 1,024 bad luck if you consider both missing pastel 5 times in a row and missing female 5 times in a row. But maybe the luck will go our way in the next clutch!
