WESH (Orlando, Florida) 01 May 08 14-Foot Snake Slithers Through Neighborhood
Orlando, Fla.: An Orange County family said a 14-foot snake is prowling in their neighborhood.
Dexter Campbell said the snake was seen slithering along a fence in his back yard near South Lake Orlando Parkway.
Campbell said at first he thought it was a limb, but once he got closer, he said the reptile was huge. He called Orange County Animal Services and a wildlife expert for help.
"The critter man came out, and he had an encounter with the snake, and we haven't heard from him since," Campbell said.
WESH 2 News contacted Animal Services and they said they didn't know what kind of snake it was.
Another snake expert said he thinks it could be a Burmese python.
