What type of rattlesnake?

Senior May 06, 2008 12:42 PM

I have a relative that found a rattlesnake on thier property. I have no information other than where it was found and was wondering what species it was likely to be.

The location was the Sonoma hills north of San Francisco (30 miles or so). It would be near the top of the hills which isn't a super high elevation but might help in the ID.

Thankyou.

Hi. Defininetly a Northern Pacific "Crotalus oreganus oreganus". The only rattlesnake that occurs there.
