Got home and saw her right in the middle of laying her eggs. She had 3 at the time. Took her several hours to lay the rest of them and another half hour or so to cover them up.

She and my young male are doing well and are getting along fine this season.

Thats one of the bigger clutches I've heard of. It will be interesting to see how they do and how quickly mom recovers. You might want to cover the eggs a litle more with the perlite so they are less sensitive to changes in humidity in your incubator.

Thanks for the advice. I got right on it.
Isis appears to be doing well, guarding her nest and eating with gusto. Her eyes don't miss even the slightest movement.

Ha. I didn't know if anybody missed me.
Yeah, I've been busy with a lot of stuff. My husband and I are taking a serious look into getting a house. My job is going well and will keep getting better. I've since bought a new computer as my old one was pretty much maxed out. When I switched, I lost the link to the site and was reminded after I noticed Isis was gravid.
Now that I've got a little breathing room, and some reptile-related news, I figured I'd jump back on here and see how things are going.

It's a standard Hovabator. Make sure you get the model that doesn't have the turbofan in it. I've heard a lot of stories about eggs drying out too fast with the fan.
