Fertile or Slugs?

bigboy73 May 07, 2008 02:57 AM

Breeding graybands can't ever be simple, can it? I brumated my male and female this season. I witnessed a couple of ties. I also fed my female any time she would eat. She was over 600 grams, and I was licking my chops in anticipation of a huge clutch. Now over the last four days she has been laying just a couple of eggs at a time. I know this usually is an indication that the eggs are infertile, but until I'm sure they go into the incubator. Well, a couple of them have begun to adhere to each other, which I haven't ever seen in slugs. Eight eggs so far, and quite the bulge left in her! Should I just be glad she didn't get eggbound? Any similar stories or ideas?
