Went down the wrong way?

Sunglassgnome May 07, 2008 12:36 PM

I just fed my ball python and placed him back into his habitat. He is now making hissing/squeaking noises. He hasn't made these noises before and wasn't making the noises prior to feeding. Is this anything to be concerned about?

I have never had anything like that happen. "Making squeaking noises" ...that don't sound right.
If the snake seems to be in distress or keeps making wierd noises, you may need to see a vet.
My snakes are pretty quiet for the most part.
Someone with more experience may be able to help out.

Check to see if there is anything blocking the airways including the nostrils.

One of my females ate a mouse backwards and just blew air for about 30 minutes. Another female my gf has only eats them backwards. They are both fine, just monitor yours and hope for the best.
