A female we have been breeding since oct had swelling twice...she is still very fat cinsidering she has only fed 3 times since nov and they were mice...she shed on the 23rd of April and is now basking belly up and bowl wrapping...I have tried to palpate her but I haven't a clue what to look for...is she showing signs of being gravid?

Usually before they lay eggs they will look for the hotspot. They do go belly up because they're uncomfortable. My guess, and I've only been doing this for 3 years, is you have a gravid female. Congrats and good luck.

Sounds like you should be looking for eggs the last week of May.
Congrats

YAY...I hope so...I would be tickled pink if just one hatched...I am new to all this...but the incubator is ready...been ready for months...temp holds steady at 87...humidity round 90......hope that's good....the harsedt part is gonna be waiting for em to hatch...lol

I prefer 89F but I think 88F works good too, too low and the little babies may not absorp all the yolk... I think if you add a few bottles of wter (closed with the lid on) into the incubator it may help with the temps? Hopefully someone else who's been doing it long than me can suggest a few things. You're very close to good temps & the Rh is good, but IMHO ya need just a tad warmer.

All the Best- Deb
