mangrove snakes??

cochran May 07, 2008 09:42 PM

Just out of curiosity, how dangerous is a bite from a mangrove snake? I,ve heard it's no more dangerous than a bite from an eastern hog,if that's the case, why are they listed as venomous?? Jeff

They are far more dangerous than any hognose...not only because of their size and level of aggression, but their venom is potent enough to put you in a hurt.
I'm pretty sure no one has died from one, but there will be intense pain, swelling, bleeding, etc. after they get their rear fangs in.
I think that they are listed as venomous for a good reason.
