If you missed my video of the slug extraction.. consider yourself lucky. It was not pretty.. but it had to be done.

So far this slug has been stuck at the vent for over 2 weeks.

I was working with my local vet but he was reluctant to operate...

So .. off to Dr. Rossi in Jax. Fl she goes. He should be doing surgery as I type.

I sure hope all goes well!!!!

I posted the video one more time anyone that missed it. Be sure and watch it during lunch!

Sorry that was kind of confusing..

She went into labor.. she got out 1 slug on her own then was stuck for hours pushing the rest.

I helped - which is what the video shows - and got the stuck one out.

Then she was able to get out 6 or 8 old slugs on her own.

The last slug stopped just shy of the vent and would not budge.. I kept trying but I could not get it out either.

So.. Dr. Rossi is going to operate to remvoe the last slug that still remains close to the vent. I can only hope I did not wait too long and she is infected.

That is gravid and was due last Sunday. About 2 weeks ago she took a small poo and I think popped out a slug from last year. It didn't look like a slug from this breeding. She is now about 3 - 5 days over 105 days, and I have my fingers crossed everything will be ok. We will see what happens. Ive never had this happen before so we will see.
