Eyes closed, something wrong!

dadsjeep May 08, 2008 03:13 PM

To give a brief backround:
I have had turltes for years. (five boxies, outside enclosure, central PA)
Ever since my ornate came out of hibernation a week ago, his eyes have been shut. He ate once when I hand fed him, but that's it!!
ASAP help would be greatly appreciated!!

Did you soak him when he came out? Try soaking him in some warm water for 20 min. Maybe he's a little dehydrated.

If that doesn't help he may have an eye infection, pnemonia, or other illness and a trip to the vet would be in order.

Good luck! Let us know what happens!
