heating question for new GTP?!?

reptiman85 May 09, 2008 04:51 AM

Hey I just bought a new green tree python first time owner ive notied that he spends from what ive seen so far 100% of the time in the branches in the mid to upper levels of the terrarium. Im used to non aboreal boas so im familiar with under cage heating such as a heat pad but like i said he never leaves the trees so for night time should i just get a ceremic bulb? or do they hit the ground from time to time? so in short undercage heat or top of cage heat??

Go with the top. Chondros will spend 99% of their time in upper parts of the cage. I wouldn't even consider belly heat. Good luck and enjoy.
