Black Pine Eggs

tortlemon May 09, 2008 05:01 AM

This is my first year breeding Black Pines and I have always read that a normal clutch for them is up to 8 eggs. Is 13 good eggs normal or unheard of?

Good lord!!!! I guess out of that horse it doesn't shock me too much, but that is a giant clutch for sure! It must be the week for black pines to lay because I got up this morning and mine was laying as well. 2 eggs out so far and they look like the more typical long and thin black pine eggs that I've seen so many pics of. Congrats on that beautiful girl and fat pile of eggs!

She is just a tank! I ended up with five nice looking, long eggs! They all look good so I'm definately pretty pleased. Take care.
