I believe the CRI is 98. They might be a little brighter than the 6700 I am using now. I am trying to decide if I want a better light on my imitator tank, and my Leuc tank needs a new bulb soon.

kyle the 8500 specrum is gonna provide to much blue for your plants to grow properly.. The 8500 and 10000 series would be great if you was growing coral in a salt water tank.. the blue simulated water deapth the more blue the deeper you go.. I would stick with a 5400 to 6700 kelv spectrum.. I recently tried a 10000 on orchids just as a test they burned up.. I consistantly grow plants under a 5400 compact with great results and it provides true colors of your frogs.. Hope the info works and remember its my opinion and you need to do what works for you.. Good luck and here is a pic of my vivarium. my next is gonna be a 37 gal...talllllll.. Happy herping Dan

Was just an idea, i've heard of a lot of people saying that they use 10k bulbs. I have noticed that my fireball broms and my red flowers do not stay red or ever turn back to red under 6700k or 5000k bulbs.
