Eye Caps

Dillon May 09, 2008 07:08 PM

I noticed my ball recently, maybe 4 days ago, had her eyes turn the blue before shedding. She hasn't shed any skin yet nor the eye caps. I've heard horror stories of unshed eye caps and was wondering how long to wait before trying to help her with getting them off?

Thanks,
Dillon

Wait until the snakes sheds & inspect the cast off skin... check the animal closely at the tail tip too. A snake's skin goes milky coloured then clear... it usually will shed in a dya or so after that.

If I may add to your post a little , all so make shore that your humidity is high enough so that it has a better time of shedding , worm water soaks once a day for about 15-20 min. will also aide in shedding by helping keep the skin hydrated .. David
