Green/Labyrinth & Albino Green/Labyrinth

BenR79 May 10, 2008 02:34 PM

Hopefully in 3 weeks anyway.

These eggs are from a triple het albino green/labyrinth female bred to an albino het green/labyrinth male. Each egg has a 1/16 shot at being a green/labyrinth or albino green/labyrinth and I have 28 eggs total. If all the eggs hatch I would expect to have 1-2 of them. These would be the first of their kind.

Best wishes, Ben!

Even though I'm not much of a "green" fan a "green/labyrinth" stirs up some interest. Needless to say, I'm hoping you get a green/labyrinth instead of an albino green/labyrinth. I think they would be more appealing. Anxious to see.

Catch ya later!

I tend to agree. If I had a choice I would want to see a green/labyrinth over an albino green/labyrinth come out of this. I'll be happy with either one though...lol

They will be the first of their kind if they don't look like this. As we have discussed, this could be a green/labyrinth aka Leopard Burm, it just hasn't been proven yet.

Hopefully my pair will produce, they have been together for a while and her folicles are growing. Between the two of us maybe we can get this thing nailed down.

Time will tell. I would love to dispell the idea that leopards are green/labyrinths, and I really think if I get a green/labyrinth I'll do just that.

Either way it would just be nice to know one way or the other, and it looks like with the pairings both of us are doing we will finally have some hard proof this season.

Have you got any eggs yet? These eggs will be at 56 days on June 1st. I'm planning to cut them open then if nothing has started to hatch by then.

Take care,
Ben

I have mixed emotions about proving my pair. I think mine are a great looking morph on their own, but the thought of something even better is interesting.

I don't have any burm eggs yet. Rosie, our albino green laid 57 duds about a week ago. I'm batting 1000, that's two clutches of duds this year out of two different pairs. I've never had a whole clutch of duds before and now I've had two in one year. The male leopard got URI at the beginning of the breeding season that we treated with fortaz. I've been told that might have made him sterile this season, but I don't know. He's been with the female leopard, so we will see if she produces some viable eggs.

We also have a pair of dwarfs that have been breeding and a couple of weeks ago her folicles were 16mm, so maybe we will get some baby dwarfs this year.

Sorry to hear about the Duds Randy. That would have been a really nice size clutch too!

If you get some dwarf eggs that would be amazing!
