Sunglow setting the stage to POP very so

gmherps May 10, 2008 04:35 PM

I have never caught any of my females doing this in the over 20 years of breeding boas. I guess it was just correct timing.

She should be popping anytime now:

Pretty neat ain't it? I was lucky enough to catch it My first birthing. But I was so entranced by it, I just stood there with my camera, and didn't get a single picture until she was half done.

Since then, I haven't caught it again, but have come in at the last squeeze.

Cool stuff for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Even if a boa broke one sac there is a separate one for each baby (except in the case of twins). Boas are obviously made to deliver intact umbilical sacks for the most part. I think she's moving the babies down towards her cloaca in preparation for delivery.

I,m sorry,,,but that just doesnt look like she is having the (normal) way to push back her baby,s.

I really hope all will go well for her,,,but me,,,i would be worried about her.

i feel Sorry for the missing eye she has.
Who bred her?

Goodluck and let us know how things are going with her.
