I keep my BP in a 55 gal fish tank with a custom 2/3 glass 1/3 screen top that i made (the 1/3 screen is for a heat light, both for added heat and night viewing) - anyways heres my question:

the UTH i have is a little old but still warms up very well... however the glue (or whatever is used on it) is not longer sticky enough to hold it to the bottom of the tank (its on a stand that does not have a solid top) - just wondering what you all would use or what is safe to use to stick it back up there.

i will also post this in the cage/habitat design forum.. any suggestions are appreciated.

I've never actually stuck my UTH to the glass---- We just leave the paper cover stuff on the UTH and set it under the tank...

We've cracked A LOT of tanks b/c of UTH-- so we quit sticking them to the glass--- theres more air circulation around the UTH and the cage bottom still gets pleanty warm-- checked by infrared gun.

Just a thought--- but you probably don't HAVE to have it stuck to the glass....
