uth no sticky any more

chenderson421 May 11, 2008 10:54 AM

I keep my BP in a 55 gal fish tank with a custom 2/3 glass 1/3 screen top that i made (the 1/3 screen is for a heat light, both for added heat and night viewing) - anyways heres my question:

the UTH i have is a little old but still warms up very well... however the glue (or whatever is used on it) is not longer sticky enough to hold it to the bottom of the tank (its on a stand that does not have a solid top) - just wondering what you all would use or what is safe to use to stick it back up there.

Or really any non paper based tape would work equally well, I used to use Duct tape, works fine....

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

I sometimes use adhesive-backed velcro. It sticks to the pad and the cage but is easily removable for cleaning. Over time, the heat affects the adhesive, though.
