Have you ever heard a Boa Heart Beat? How about the heart beat of a baby Boa before it was born? Have you ever heard that?

I have, and you can too! Check the little video!

Jeff, you did great with it. So far Linda aka LSD on here used her doppler on all of her likely gravid females, she was 5 for 5 hearing heartbeats on the ones that dropped, and has one remaining that she confirmed hearing heart beats on. She's the one I learned the use of dopplers worked on boas, and one of her videos is what I showed Chris to get him into using one.

Hey Randy,
Thanks for posting that Doppler Video on your web site. It's really nice to know that others will finally believe that hearing the heartbeats is possible. It's also nice to know that you always believed that I was hearing "something". I'm glad it turned out it was heartbeats and not rythmatic farts. LOL.

I was glad to do it. One thing I'd like to do eventually is listen to several adults to get a baseline average documented, then also document the difference (if much of one) with the neonates.

I guess Chris Canada Smith told you about his little discovery from Linda H. Pretty cool little discovery! Fortunately I am lucky enough to live 10 miles from the Green Tree GOD Rico Walder who is kind enough to let me use his ultrasound!

COOL VIDEO!!

I have actually heard them many times. I first posted about it on "The Think Tank" back in 2004. That's when Majik, my female Pastel was pregnant for the first time. I was sooooooo excited when I heard them the first time. I posted about it right away. A few people thought it was cool. Some made jokes about it and one person said it was "IMPOSSIBLE" to hear them. Obviously it's not "IMPOSSIBLE" to hear the heartbeats of unborn boas. I always knew what I was hearing. I knew it sounded like heart beats. It was just hard to get other people to believe me. Fortunately there was a few people that always believe me.

The heart beats can be heard as early as 8 to 10 weeks before the due date. They're very soft and you have to "LISTEN" very carefully to hear them. With practice, you can hear them easily. You just need to be able to recognize what your hearing.

Make sure you have plenty of ultrasound gel on the doppler wand. Make sure your females are perfectly still. Any movement can mess up the sounds. Use the doppler wand in the mid-section, where the early buldge is the biggest. With a littel practice you'll be hearing heartbeats as early as 10 weeks before your babies are born.
