Finally got 'er done!

DMong May 11, 2008 05:07 PM

This albino youngster has been fumbling around with this female for a few days now, like a dog "dry-humping" someone's pant-leg, but never quite being successful. Well a few minutes ago, I look over and he finally "entered" the deep dark abyss!..LOL!

Thanks Charlie!,.......And yes!, I DO think I know the pair you're referring to...(yuk-yuk). That's good news, man!. I look forward to hearing what comes out of that mating, hopefully all the neonates will follow suit with the previous clutches!

Oh!,....I talked to Deon today, and asked him if you got his Black Milks, and he said that you did. Have you had any luck with them yet?......those guys must have felt like they were in the middle of a blazing desert over there, as we both know, they like much cooler temps than what they were given at his place.

Good luck with everything!

Nice Doug! Glad he found his way. Do you normally put pairs in empty tubs like that? Is that a special trick of yours?

Not really Dave, I normally start out putting things together in their normal enclosures, and I always like to witness the matings if at all possible. But the way this youngster kept fumbling around and never penetrating, got me to thinking I'll throw them in the nice bare tub for a while next to me while I'm working on the computer, that way, I could monitor the situation a little better, and I'd clearly be able to see any evidence in the tub if I happened to miss it.

Another good thing was that this female was EXTREMELY cooperative with him during all the tail clinging with nothing happening, she held still and put up with his awkwardness for quite a long time during the course of their several day on and off introduction.

What was REALLY funny, was when I saw the female look up and "yawn" as he was tail clinging without any penetration, as if to say..."C'mon little man, this boring foreplay is gettin' old!"..LOL!!!.........wish I had my camera for THAT "Kodak" moment!

Great to see he finally figured out 'his job' -- now all we need to do is wait and see what happens w/ your 'aberrant' project here a lil' bit. Well done.
