My columbian red tailed boa's anal scale isnt flush with its body, and its been like that for a while, and im wondering what the problem is, if its a concern? what should i do? and what caused it? any information please

I apologize for taking so long to reply. Has the scale turned back to normal position? I'd expect it to after the next shed or defecation event. Is there any tissue exposed? If this continues, or there is drying, exposed tissue, perhaps take him to the vet to correct the situation.

Yeah, it does go back after a shed, but not 100% and there is next to no tissue exposed, any clue on whats the problem or what to do? i will take it to a vet soon.
