So I have a boa who is gravid.... supposedly. She has done EVERYTHING according to textbook. She was bred for a solid 2 months, copulation several hundred times. lol. She had a pre-ovulation swell, followed by more and more breeding. The male lost interest, she had a "football" ovulation that could be seen from miles away. Shortly there-after, she had a post-ovulation shed, 17 days later to be exact. She moves under the heat at night, and cooler end during the day. Just recently she had another shed, which would be almost exactly half-way through the gestation period. and now here we are, she's a month away, being due to drop June 10th. and she just looks so skinny for being gravid....

She has her moments where she looks a little bit plump, but it's nothing to get all worked up about. But today she stretched out for a minute, and looked skinny and needed to eat. She has eatin 1 out of 3 times Ive offered since ovulation. I'm not quite sure what to expect out of this girl. Especially since I have another female who was bred by the same male right after, she's not due until July 27, and she's as fat as a coffee can.

Anybody have any GOOD results with females who are supposed to be gravid but dont really look like it to the naked eye????

Thanks in advance
Tony

shes a descent size girl. maybe 7-7.5 feet, pre-breeding weight was 24lbs. Ive had bigger females, but Ive seen a LOT smaller breed too. So I guess you could say she's a pretty good sized girl, but by no means enormous

She might have absorbed them...happend to me this season...one of my boas reabsorbed her follicles after what i had thought was her ovulation. All that was left were dozens of hypertrophied blood vessels that attach to the ova. Blew my mind how this could happen. Pays to have an ultrasound to know so you can get them feeding again.
