heat bulb

Hi, I will be getting a bearded dragon next week and already have his/her enclosure set up with UVB bulbs and a 100 watt red heat bulb. My question is about the heat bulb. I purchased the bulb from my local hardware store and it seems to be working well. I have the basking spot at just under 110. Is it ok to use a heat bulb that isnt made for reptiles? I don't really see a problem if it is getting the right temp however i could be unaware of other problems with using this type of bulb. Thanks.

Don't use a red bulb. Use a white spot, flood, or household bulb depending on your setup to get the proper temps.
