Hey everyone--

Time and time again--when my close friends or family finds out that I keep and breed snakes--they undoubtedly ask "What do you do with snakes?"

While I can answer that some people keep solitary animals as pets and such---I always sort of stumble on my exact explanation because I am a fanatic!!!

I tell them that I "keep and collect snakes" much like some people would do with non-living items. (I don't mean to peeve anyone with a comment like that!)

But for me----that's how it is. I learn of things that I like---and then I seek them out and aquire them--so that I can make more of them!! And then I sell or trade some of them for other things that I like.

How about you? What do you say so that your aunt or cousin doesn't think you are "SOME SNAKE WACKO"?

Explaining all our critters is always fun to do.

A friend once asked why I have snakes in my living room, my reply was "why do you have cats and dogs in yours?"

I get that exact question a lot! and my answer is usually " I take them out and play with them, and sometimes I just look at them!"

My dad likes to tinker with computers and collects and builds them, our conversation usually goes as follows..

DAD: ''Why do you need all these damn snakes anyway?"
ME: "Because I like them, why do YOU need all those computers?"
DAD: " *mumbles*....yeah...*trails off*"
