If your wife is one of those afraid or just dont want to touch....usually she can pick up the glue trap without touching the snake and put it in a bag for you. Wish I had glue traps set up years ago, I am a believer. But you have to check em, thats gotta be a nasty way to die.

She was scared she would hurt it.

Beautiful little snake. How long was she gone? Up on the sink? Kitchen sink? What is it about up on the sink? Both my Cal Kings spent a little time on vacation around my house. I found both of them up on the kitchen sink!

She was gone less than a week. And its the sink in my laundry /cat/ snake room... yup I said cat... my snakes share the room with the cats but they only eat and use the litterbox in that room and I havent had any problems though I hope to move soon. One of the cats is a .***** and I dont cre for her. But thanks for your replies.

My cats like the snake room too - they don't bother them too much.
The only issue is my adult pacific gopher. She's in a big display tank - and if I ever leave the step stool I use to clean/maintain the tank - they will get up and harass the snake - but only because the snake hisses something fierce and gets very defensive. The other snakes in tubs, they get bored because the snakes don't react to them much.

i wont let my cats in the reptile room (i have 13 cats, 11 of them are indoor only) I dont keep tops on my mini beardie or my leos.... and twice 2 of my leos were grabbed up by cats... i also have some birds in there too... but i have my snapping turtle by the door and when she sees a cat she snaps at the side of her cage and the cats run out.... its funny

You didnt get the joke called "starter cat". Sounds to me like you need the python forum, that would solve your problem in a hurry.Joking....
