JP,
Several people have this species now, but I don't think anyone has bred them besides Rex Knight, the person I got mine from. I agreee they are a gorgeous species, and they are easier to care for than most would imagine. You may have to get on a list to get a pair.
Napa Valley also has gotten some this year, but I don't think those are for sale (not sure).
I keep mine much as you would some type of kingsnake. They are a retiring little species, rather undemanding. My two yr. olds eat jumbo pinks and small fuzzies. I'm hoping they'll stay active until November this year.
Luck....TC.
>>I was at the Daytona show this month and saw the most beautiful ratsnake I have ever seen, the Japanese forest ratsnake (e. conspicillata). I am in love. I have mandarins, coxi, and many other rats and of course love them, but these blew me away. Does anyone know anyone who is breeding or importing these. The ones in Daytona weren't for sale, I only saw 2, but I wish they were. Let me know what you think of these and if you can help me find some. Thanks as always.
