Todays Babies

So here are a few pictures of the babies, nothing special so far as the colors have not come in. I still don't have weights, since I moved all of my equipment has been moved around into storage and or the garage.

1.1 juvie BRBs born 6/18/06 my first litter(Zeek, Isis)
0.0.4 neonate BRBs born 5/12/08 at approx 6:10 am
0.1 Pacific/Celestial Parrotlets (Booger)
1.0 normal corn (Pop the Cornsnake)
1.1 african brown house snake (Nellie, Lacie)
1.1 crested geckos (Chips, Dijon)
0.1 paranoid mother "too many snakes!"
1.0 significant other that gives me a funny look when I say a baby snake is cute

Cute wee ones!!!

Was mom done delivering in that pic? I ask because she looks like she's got a serious contraction in her mid body with what looks like a not so empty lower body.

No she was not done at that time, she delivered about ten more slugs after that, the video that I have of her is of that contraction pushing out the slugs. She got those out in about 30 minutes and when I went to check again she was resting. I was trying bother her as little as possible so I opened the cage, took the pictures and the video for a minute or two and then grabbed the babies. The video would have been much cooler if she had a baby come out instead of slugs, but still interesting (if gross) to watch.

Congrats! Sux about so many slugs, but 4 babies and a healthy mom is a good result at the end of the day.
