I'm glad you found one. They are one of my all time, all around favorite snakes as a pet snake. They have great pattern, color and feeding response (too good sometimes). They are a nice big snake without being too terribly big. Their bold snakes and mine usually would sit out in the open all the time and move around a lot. The moment I would walk in the room they would be aware of me and watch me as I moved around the room. When I opened their cage door the male especially would crawl over and climb on me tasting as he went with no fear what so ever. They are one of the snakes I miss the most since I sold my breeders a few years ago. Enjoy. Randy W.

Yeah, I got my breeding pair from Bill and I too love them as pets. I got 6 babies from them this year and kept 1.1 back for the future. Mine are more olive-green than yellow, however.

I think you'll be happy. I have one male about 18 months old. I haven't measured him in a while but his last complete shed was 6 ft. I would guess that puts him around 5 ft.

His attitude is superb. He's never struck at me while handling him (only once when he was much smaller and that was while getting him from his tank with my hand), but he's still very curious and active without being nervous or difficult to control.

He eats like a trash compactor. You could easily feed two pinkies twice a week with no trouble. Don't be afraid to try bigger prey items, I've found he can graduate in mouse size sooner than I would have expected.

If I remember to I'll come back to this thread and put up a new pic.
