Pucallpa, Peru redtail project.....

RioBravoReptiles May 14, 2008 09:07 AM

.. some highlights, over about nine years.
.
.. this first image shows the unique tail pattern and colors of a WC Pucallpa redtail.
.

.
Skipping ahead a year or so, we got our first look at what they look like as babies..
.

.
.. an early offering.. (where are all those treasures now?)..
.

.
.. not many people had seen Peru boas like that (and still haven't).. images like this generated some little interest!
.

.
.. this one ended up staying here.. Female #4..
.

.
.. and turned out OK..
.

.
.. things look pretty good to see this project keep on going for some few years yet!
.

.
.. grand-kids and grand-neices and nephews will make these old guys happy and proud!
.

.
Thanks for looking!!
.

It is good to see how hard work and dedication has paid off! That adult female is incredible by every stretch of the word! I am excited about breeding my pair from that line and would not take nothing for them. Here is a good Screensaver of my Gus Peru.......JJ

As the years go by , I want to get more into the peru red project. Maybe this summer I will get my feet wet! Please post an update on the offspring from that pair if you can. It definitely looks promising.

As always.... awesome! Since the first time you posted pics of that adult female, she's been one of my wish list animals. Thats the only boa I'd like to have as a "pet" just to show off! Dan

Great post Gus those are some outstanding Peruvian's and then you "one up" yourself with that incredible female!! I can't wait to see babies from her and would love to see who you pair her up with. I don't think I stand alone in asking to see more pic's.
Thank you for sharing.

That's a really nice looker too. Hard to believe they change so much into adulthood.

Nice stuff. Thanks for sharing!
