I have had a male vieled for a week or so( I think) and he has not shed yet. I am not too worried about that, but I just wanted to know when to expect him to shed. Thanks, jrbl

I have had my Chams about a month and a half, and they are approx. 4 months old. SInce I've had them they've shed 2 times so I assume they shed about once a month when they are younger.
When they are young they shed about once every 2-4 weeks (depending on how fast they are growing) and when they are older they shed about once every 4-8 weeks. YOu can usually tell if he is ready to shed b/c his colours will seem duller, and he may have white patches on his skin. Once he starts to shed try to keep the humdity up in the high end of his requirements (70%for a vield) and this will help things go smoothly. After the shed (one day for babies, 1-2 days for juvies) check toes, ankles, tip of tail, and the rest of him to make sure it all came off. Sometimes I find the tip of the tail stays and i have to rub the skin off with my fingers (gently with some mineral oil).
I know it's more info than you asked, but it sounds like you are waiting on your first shed, and I find all the info you can get helps!
