In my opinion, you are doing fine. Typically, as the animal ages and gets a little larger, then you can back down to 3 times a week. 4-5 times a week while they are younger is my preference. Granted, the quantity fed at that time is also to be taken into consideration. If you feed a hefty amount, it doesn't hurt to let a couple days go in between. If it's just a standard ration...a day in between is fine. I would watch his weight regardless, but as far as I'm concerned...he should be fine on your current diet. What type of fish are you providing the animal?

>>Generally speaking is there a proper amount of times a week a crocodilian should eat and how often it should fast. I have a Paleosuchus Palpebrosus he is near a year in age. He does not seem to be over weight. I feed him crickets, fish, chicken strips and pinky/fuzzies everyweek. Right now He fast once maybe twice a week. Usually after the bigger meals of chicken and Pinky/fuzzies. The fish and crickets are in small amounts. Is this to often. Should he be feed less often or is it okay to feed him as often as I do as long as I watch his weight. Thanks for any help.
