Yet another landmark litter!

ChrisGilbert May 14, 2008 05:46 PM

Just got off the phone, and my Western Costa Rican litter was just born! From 2004 CITES imported founder stock originating from Zoocriadero World Snakes in Grecia, Alajuela, Costa Rica. Parents produced by Robert Meidinger at the federally recognized serpentarium, imported by Ernie Eison, and acquired through Kevin Barnett.

13 live healthy babies, NO slugs, and NO stillborns. Can't argue with results like that!

Can't wait to see them. I think our litters look very different, which makes sense given the parents. CR are naturally variable, but like with my pair both were the same phenotype, so it restricts variability. I think the F2s of these will start to lose their patterns looking at some split saddles, missing saddles, or very thin saddles just in these F1s.
