RAT ORDER **ding ding** UP!

zefdin May 14, 2008 05:50 PM

Last year I had the unfortunate experience of having received more than one bad order of rats from the same very well known rodent supplier. I received half frozen rats upon delivery (even though I had paid top dollar for shipping) there was only a tiny bit of dry ice rolled up in some foil. The rats were piled into a large zip bag and many, many had arms, legs, ears and tails broken off, many showed evidence of freezer burn, and many of the rats had feces all over them. In addition to this, I got many jumbo and X-large size rats (when weighed and compared to the suppliers online size listing) instead of the very high-in-demand at this time of year medium and large sizes I had ordered and paid for....

After looking around and comparing, I decided to give my busness to The Big Cheese Rodent Factory. Let me tell you, I am very impressed and very happy. My order was delivered to the exact location I requested which happens to be different from my billing address, it came right on time and was smartly packed in a very sturdy box using both shipping staples and strong packing tape to seal. When I got the box home and opened it up, the rat packages were inside a deep recess of insulation, and it also had a generous chunk of dry ice in a bag to keep things well frozen and in a deep chilled state. Each individual package of 10-15 rats was professionally marked with QTY and Size and consisted of a sturdy foam tray with a heavy gage mylar bag that was vacuum sealed to preserve freshness and lock out freezer burn. Each rat inside appears to have been carefully placed in its position in the tray, and the rats all look like they are plump, fresh and their size, while generous, are clearly in the range I had ordered and paid to get.

Three cheers for the Big Cheese Rodent Factory!! I will definately be a return customer!!

I second that. I've had very good experiences with Big Cheese.

I've been using Big Cheese for at least 8 years and they are great. When I first started ordereing frozen rodents I gave a few other suppliers a try and Big Cheese was far superior. Top notch service and product for sure!

I have used Big Cheese rodents for all of my bulk frozen orders for the last 3 years. I have always been impressed with the size, quality and reasonable prices. I previously had the experience of receiving broken-up rats loosely thrown into zip-lock bags from a big supplier so once I found Big Cheese, I never looked back.
