Last night and this morning.

Got out of Corpus around 4:00 and flipped a Gulf coast ribbon on the way out. Went west and south searching for that elusive milksnake again, struck out on that but was able to see a few things. The weather looked like it was gonna be great, lightning in the background, a little wind, but the snakes were just not where I was like the past week. I did see some tricolors though, and put a juvie indigo off the road. Then another bummer, my first Mexican hognose down south and it was splashed all over the road! It was hotter than west Texas in July it seemed down near Laredo, so I headed back.

I was hoping for proof of that nasicus!

Nice shot of the longnose too.

Shame on you John, here you go in all it's glorious detail, the head was smashed but you know what the belly should look like and the dorsal pattern as well, the hemis are blasted out as well.

That's a good looking longnose snake, Todd.
I'm still trying to find my first one.
I'll be giving it another shot in Vegas next months.
You've had some really good field herping posts lately.
