Active hours

bunkerhill165 May 15, 2008 09:41 AM

My uromastyx has been getting up around 6 to 7 for the past couple of days then staying active until 3. i was wondering if it is normal. She used to get up around 10 after his cage got hotter, and she normally stays active to between 3 and 4. I was just wondering if there is a specific time that she should get up and go to sleep, and if it is a problem if she is different.
-basking temp 120
-hot side 105-110
-cool side 80-90

What are your overnight temps? Do you keep any lights on overnight? When do you turn your lights on in the morning?

Typically, diurnal reptiles need at least 12 hours of light and 10-12 hours of darkness.

The night time temp is normally around 75-70 all night. I turn the lights off around 8-9 and on around 7 in the morning normally.

Well, all of my lizards respond to ambient light as well as their viv lights. The season is changing so, maybe that's it. But my Taz is pretty much active for most of the day. He takes naps, but he is usually out as late as 8pm.
