Sounds like a wild party in the jungle?

This pair of F2 Jungles was produced in 2007 by Mark Hauge from sibling Jungles produced by the Barkers.

The cost of living isnt too bad other than real estate, but the jobs pay more so it evens out. The bay area, LA and San Diego areas are expensive, but there's a whole hell of a lot more state that's really pretty affordable and the weather cant be beat. IMO its totally worth the price of admission, I've yet to live anywhere that I enjoy as much as I did the bay area.

miloradovich May 16, 2008 09:51 AM

Where in the Bay Area did you live? I grew up in Vallejo on the northern side of the bay.

gfx May 16, 2008 12:55 PM

I was in Fremont for a few years, then Redwood City for a few years. I moved back this way to be able to spend more time with my folks as they get older.

I know exactly where Vallejo is, I used to show dogs up there a few times a year. I've still got clients and friends there, I try to get back every year or two. Its been since Macworld in 1/07 so I need another visit soon. I'm thinking about going this fall, after the summer travel season has subsided.

aanata1 May 16, 2008 10:30 AM

I moved to San Diego in August and we are already buying a house. The market out here is terrible and the houses are still outrageous compared to the burbs of Chicago, where I'm from. But I couldn't agree with you more. I'd rather live in a cardboard box out here than a mansion in Chicago. I love it. It didn't dip below 50 degrees all winter and even then, 50 was a ridiculously cold day for here! My Snakes like the sun too

gfx May 16, 2008 12:59 PM

Isnt that cool about the warm winters? And the old cars with no rust at all?? I grew up in Detroit, my first CA winter was a total dream! I recall my first January, washing a dog outside and cracking up because I wasnt even chilled. I'm in NC now, its pretty nice here, but the humidity can be a bit much. Still...I'll take humidity over snow any day. I was back in Detroit in early Feb wondering how those people can live like that. Ick! At least there's stuff to do in Chicago!

rainbowsrus May 16, 2008 01:18 PM

LOL, rusty cars, I was in detroit many years back and saw this truck driving around with the door skins flapping in the breeze. They had rusted away on the sides and bottoms and were only still attached at the tops.

Hmmm, might have been part of the older mentality of replacing cars every 5 years? And they did not need to be that great or lasting because at 10 years they'd all be in the junkyard?

Jeff Ronne put out a "SAHWEEET" video of his Bci collection at least ten years ago. There were very few Boa Constrictor morphs back then and his monster tail Boa was the big deal in the video. His monster tail project was one of the hot topics for discussion with Boa enthusiasts everywhere back then.

You already know how much I like those new snakes, but it bears repeating....outstanding!

Of course Venus has a 'tude, her arms fell off!!! Good thing they did, she'd be flipping us all off in the first pic!

miloradovich May 16, 2008 09:14 AM

Beautiful boas Dave. I predict those are going to be some stunning adults.
I take it this is the group that you were searching for names for? I of course, am partial to the name Milo. Good looking litte fella too.
Definately keep us updated with pics as that gorgeous group matures.

rainbowsrus May 16, 2008 01:14 PM

Hmmmm, wonder why???

Yeah, those are the "monsters" I was searching for names...

Next set on them will be post shed ones, they are yearlings so still have a lot of maturing to do. Not sure where in the shed cycle they are.

Very nice new additions! So, what does "Monster Tail" refer to?

The longer tail section, where the tail colors go much further up the animal.
