Nokturnel Tom May 15, 2008 07:32 PM

I have a few clutches now, 3 Speckled King, 1 Axanthic Brooksi and one I am really excited about Cape York Spotted Pythons!
Look at this 21 egg clutch from a Speck

Here are the Python eggs set up Pythons style.

I have a Chocolate Banana Cal King dropping as I type too!

Hi Dave, yes I am doing the no substrate method since last year I ruined the eggs doing them colubrid style. Man it hurt. I seem to be good at getting lots of colubrid eggs and hatching them but last year was my first year doing Pythons and I pretty much stink at it.
That is the largest clutch I ever got from a Speck. I think I got 27 eggs from a Brooksi once though. Definitely got a 27 egg Corn clutch too.
My Cal King should be done, more pics coming soon.
You coming down to Daytona this year???

first time I have a clutch of anything or something new, I screw it up. kings, pines, new incubator, new substrate, et cetera. I get better or luckier after that. I hope to change that pattern when I finally convince myself to try substrate free.

time will tell if I am going to the big show. Lots of good peops I would really like to see. it is kind of late this year, I think the 22nd or 23rd of August.

Cape Yorks are awesome. I would love to see pics of your adults. Did you get them from the Barkers?

Nokturnel Tom May 15, 2008 10:38 PM

Howdy, I got them from Steven Emerick of Napa Valley snakes who seemed to disappear? He said his came from the Barkers, but then again don't they all originate from them??
This was here gravid last year

I have Granite Spotted and Childrens too but they're young. I will get some Stimsons this year, I love all the Anteresia.
Have a good one

Outstanding Tom. Those Cape Yorks are gorgeous. Looks like your having a little better luck this year with them.

Great pictures! I am a little GREEN (with envy). I have a corn I got from Glades that will give me eggs in about a month and two pair that will be ready to breed next year. I am learning as I go.

21 eggs from one of your Specks! Wow! Congrats! How big/old is she?

Nokturnel Tom May 17, 2008 09:18 PM

I'd guess she is about 7 years old and just under 4 foot. She was given to me by Terry Vandeventer who started this project.
