I've related your story to a couple of my snake/field herping-friends, and come to the reality that what scares me about being bitten is not the possibility of death, but the friggin' HOSPITAL BILL!!! I guess it's one of those instances where you're thankful to have your life, but you'll spend the rest of it paying for it. God Bless.
