early last year i bought my first albino male, a snake i had always wanted. he was a year a half old and i found a 3 year old 66% het albino female from a local guy who wasnt even sure if she was in fact even a poss het..... for 200 bucks i took my chances and picked her up. so after feeding both of them up, i began the breeding process and observed them breeding many many times along with some of my other boas. i thought i saw an ovulation and the female went off feed which was very unusual for her. well i bought a house with my fiance and didnt want to move the boas since she was starting to really show and i was afraid of stressing her and losing the babies. so they remained at my parents and with the watchful eye of my mom they continued to do well. well i thought her due date was march 15th but that came and went and no babies. and i mean she was huge and hadnt eaten in 3 months. it looked like she swallowed a tennis ball tube but still no babies a month after i suspected her due date. so now i figure she is going to slug out and i may as well move them to my house to get them with my ball pythons in my new snake room. monday was the big move day, well the saturday before i crash my dirtbike and break my femur and tibia as well as completely tearing my ACL and damaging my lateral meniscus. no move happening now. well that was 3 weeks ago and my mom still dilegently checked my females for babies and i get a phone call today saying the one boa gave birth but she doesnt see any babies just something that looks like an umbilical cord. so i have my fiance drive my crippled ass to my parents expecting to be on slug patrol and i pull open the drawer to see a couple BABY ALBINOS LOOKING UP AT ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i dont think i have ever been so excited. so i take mom out to do my tallying,,,,,albino to 66 het and i got 15 albinos and 10 hets and 1 slug. unfortunately she killed one of the albinos, but 24 healthy little ones. just wanted to share, i am so darn happy tonite amd wanted to share.
