Got my Kenabec stuff!
The stand is rough. Need to give it some TLC for esthetic purposes.
The tank and all is dirty and will need to be cleaned and sterilized - of course. I'd never put my baby in anything I'd not sterilized. Not my kid!
Got this GREAT box thing that looks like a rock and was told I'm *supposed* to put wet moss in and a heat stone (the guy had had a red tailed boa). I don't know about that. But it will make a wonderful neat crawl-up-into hidey hole. I can put bark and grass and moss in there. I really think Kenabec is going to love it.
Got all kinds of stuff. The fake long IS WONDERFUL! A great crawly-all-over thing with holes for hiding and being comfy.
The two heat lamps came with red lights. Are these the best for my purpose? I'd really like something that approximates as closely as possible natural daylight. But if the red lights are better for Kenabec, that's what I'll go with.
Got a little plastic shoe-boxy thing that will be just right for a wee baby Hoggie. I can let him ramble and then put him to sleep in his 'bed.' It has slots for air and will work perfectly for keeping a wee one snuggy.
90g is not too big, in my mind. Fully grown and stretched out Kenabec's going to take up almost 1/2 the length of the tank. That will give him 2' to slither and dig in horizontally.
Yup! Things are coming along nicely.
I'M SO EXCITED!!!
