I worked in a laboratory in the 80's and 90's and ran many types of environmental analysis, and purchased a lot of instrumentation and equipment. BOD incubators are refrigerator units and will only operate to maintain their interior temps at a setting below the ambient temps of the room they are within. They have no ability to increase temps above ambient. The 10 to 50 degree C range listed in the performance specs is the temp range of the room that it is capable of operating within. The only way it could work would be if set up in a room where the temp was kept consistently in the low to mid 90's, but that would obviously be a little impractical. The thermostat function of these units was impressive, as I never saw them vary by more than 0.5 degrees C from the programmed temp setting.
