I was trying to give a snake medicine when he got out of the cage. He went behind a dresser and I caught hold of his back end and before I could think about what I was doing, I struggled to pull him back while he was pulling forward.
I let go and he escaped, and I finally got him and gave him the medicine and put him back.
He has an abcessed mouth (that burst recently) and a respiratory infection. He musked me when I was struggling with him.

I'm worried that I might have hurt him when I was struggling with him. He's not showing signs that I did... but snakes are known for hiding conditions. Has anyone else struggled with a snake like this, and if you did, did anything happen to it?
Should I worry?

You might have pulled on some of his scales if you were pulling him back when he was going forward which can hurt them a bit. If there is nothing visible, then he should be ok. If you really are concerned about anything internal you could have done, you could always go to a reliable reptile vet and get him checked out.

You probably did not hurt him. I when a snake wants to go one way and you are pulling another it can feel like something bad is happening with weird pops etc. But I can assure you your snakes knows its own strength and will let go of its end before hurting itself.
